Outside Sales Engineer

Reports to: Sales Manager
Territory: Southeastern Wisconsin
Primary Responsibilities: As an Outside Sales Engineer with Jasper Engineering, you will promote and grow our business by selecting, servicing and selling a variety of pump, cyclone, wet process and related equipment and instrumentation to the mining, power, pulp and paper and general industrial markets. This includes all products and manufacturers authorized in the territory.
Sales:
• Consistently meet and exceed sales and GP$ performance targets and objectives by executing a jointly developed plan to grow the assigned territory.
• Actively prospect for new customers and expand contacts within existing accounts.
• Proactively engage with our vendors in the region to build rapport and support for us as a partner.
Technical Competency:
• Establish competency for identifying opportunities and specifying products into applications.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the target industries and applications we serve.
• Continuously grow product knowledge through online and in-person training events.
• Assist and lead on-site supervision of equipment installs/teardowns – pumps, mechanical seals, fans, etc. Marketing Support:
• Provide support for marketing efforts in the way of promotional content: App examples, White Papers, and Demonstrations.
• Identify and participate in local trade shows/events to promote us and our partners.
• Respond to and report on leads in a timely manner.
• Assist with growing our contact database through prospecting and communication of prospecting results (contacts).
• Assist Jasper in identifying new technologies (product lines) that serve the organization and the local territory.
Communications/Reporting:
• Forecasting 
• Quotation, CRM, Email tool utilization 
Team: 
• Work as part of a team, supporting other departments and being responsive to requests as needed 
• Assist the development of those around you 
• Support your teammates and Jasper's partners through your actions and communications. 
Working Conditions:
• Remote, home office. 
• Occasional overnight travel is required and is usually less than 5-6 nights per month. 
• Occasional evening dinners and events are required. Usually less than 1-2 per month.

Position Qualifications: 
• 4-year degree preferred, with a preference for prior sales or industrial plant experience. 
• Experience in a technical sales capacity selling value-added solutions. 
• Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal skills are critical for optimum communication both with our vendor partners and at end-user clients. 
• Must be self-motivated, work well in a collaborative team environment and be able to develop and maintain relationships at all levels of our client organizations. 
• Excellent computer application skills in Microsoft Office products including customer relationship management tools
