Job Description
INDIANAPOLIS, IN
JOB TYPE: Full-time
RATE OF PAY: $17 - $19 Hourly (DOE)
SHIFT: 1st & 2nd
The Overhead Crane Operator will perform activities related to shipping and receiving of inventory and customer orders. Prior experience is needed.
JOB DUTIES:
- Operates traveling or stationary overhead crane to lift, move, and position loads
- Observes load hookup determines safety of load
- Manipulates or depresses crane controls to regulate speed & direction of crane hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions
- Cleans and maintains crane hoisting mechanism
- Inspects crane for defective parts notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions
- Understand, follow, and comply with all company safety and operating procedures and policies
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting preferred
- Previous experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds
- Attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbal and written
- Ability to work in a team environment
