NCW is looking for skilled Machine Maintenance Technicians for 2nd and 3rd shift job opportunities in Richmond, IN. This position will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, rebuild, and installation of production die cast machines, CNCs, and facility support equipment to include air compressors, process water and cooling towers. The ideal candidate will have minimum of 5 years of machine maintenance experience that includes electrical principals while installing, maintaining, and/or troubleshooting equipment on a regular basis including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, OV-480V.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Diagnose electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical problems and take corrective action
- Perform emergency repairs plant wide as needed
- Rebuild equipment as needed
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints (Electrical & Hydraulics or Die-Cast and Trim Die)
- Troubleshoot PLC interface operation. Diagnose complex PLC problems and take corrective action
- Diagnose complex process problems and correct
- Train and work with Machine Maintenance Technicians
- Install new equipment, rebuild, or modify existing equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Associate Degree or Technical Degree in related field or equivalent practical work experience
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Must have excellent troubleshooting skills
- Must have excellent organizational skills
- Must be able to work as part of a team
- Must be able to obtain forklift and crane certification
- Proficient in machine setups for production runs
- Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
- Basic computer skills
- Physical ability to lift 50 -70 pounds
- Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, bending, twisting, and move about the facility
- Ability to travel from site to site as necessary
- Excellent attendance is necessary
- Must be willing to give and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
