Industrial Sales Territory Manager
Location: Seattle, WA

Our client is a supplier of industry-leading automation components. The company employs application engineering staff to assist with configuration and proof of concept engagements. Our customers are OEM’s, integrators, end-users and others interested in driving down product costs using machines. We offer Dorner Conveyors, Mitsubishi Robots, IAI Actuators, Schunk Grippers, Datalogic, Pilz Safety products, Emerson/Aventics air components and a host of other products through our network of sister companies. We have facilities in Portland, Oregon, and Seattle, Washington covering Oregon, Washington, and Idaho, and occasionally Montana and Alaska. We are seeking an experienced Technical Salesperson in the Seattle Metro area that would like to be part of the rapidly growing industrial automation world.
Position: Industrial Automation Regional Sales Representative
Summary:
The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Robotics, Conveying Systems, Pneumatics, PLC programming or machining in the context of manufacturing automation systems. The candidate will be comfortable prospecting and closing sales leads to help generate revenue for the company. The company has 1000s of current customers but building new relationships will be critical to a candidate's success. They will also be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating a territory sales strategy, taking a strategic look at companies and proactively engaging. They will have strong communication and virtual teaming skills to nurture a positive, affirming, and collaborative company culture that is focused on delighting the customer.
Responsibilities Include
- Responsive, customer-focused communication via email and phone
- Introducing the product to Purchasing, Maintenance, and Engineering Departments
- Coordinate face-to-face visits with vendor/supplier representatives and prospective leads
- Track and report all sales activities using integrated Salesforce, Outlook & Veloxy
- Pipeline and forecast reporting
- Develop and execute sales strategy through market analysis
- Participate in conceiving marketing campaigns executed by others
- Participate in product training offered by suppliers
- Promote key products, scheduling presentations to decision-makers
- Minimal air travel but frequent, if not daily, automobile travel
Qualifications
- Experience in the Industrial Automation marketplace
- Experience generating and maintaining relationships with long-standing customers
- Strong interest in growing customer base through building value-added relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer Skills including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point
- Provide a positive, inclusive, and affirming presence as part of the NWAP Team.

Benefits
Income is based on a base salary plus commission. There is NO CAP on commissions.
