NEW CARLISLE, IN
JOB TYPE: Full-time
PAY RANGE: $16 - $17 Hourly (DOE), Shift Premium
SHIFT: 1st and 2nd
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The General Laborer will be working indoors/outdoors at metal scrap yard and responsible for performing various tasks that will include, but not limited to, sorting through scrap metal, moving materials, and operating equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (including but not limited to)
- Picking
- Sorting
- Loading/Unloading
- Operating material moving equipment (certifications a plus)
- Adhere to all company safety and operational policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must speak fluent English and/or Spanish.
- Knowledge of scrap metal (preferred)
- Forklift or crane experience a plus
- Ability to work as a part of a team.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and written.
- Ability to lift heavy weights.
- Physical ability to work for 8+ hours/day standing, walking, stooping, bending, crouching, lifting, pushing, pulling.
- Ability to work 40 to 50 - hours/week.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
