Job Description
INDIANAPOLIS, IN
JOB TYPE: Full-time
RATE OF PAY: $15 -$20 Hourly (DOE), Shift premiums
SHIFT: 1st and 2nd
NCW is currently hiring General Laborers and Equipment Operators (heavy/light) for immediate hire in Indianapolis, IN. You will be working indoors and outdoors at a scrap yard and responsible for performing various tasks that will include, but limited to, sorting through scrap metal, moving materials, and operating equipment.
OPEN SHIFTS:
- 1st & 2nd
OPEN POSITIONS:
- General Labor (full-time and temporary)
- Equipment Operators (heavy/light)
JOB DUTIES: (including but not limited to)
- Sort scrap to upgrade & remove nonconforming items
- Clean any spillage from conveyors using both mobile equipment and hand tools
- Maintain mobile and stationary equipment
- Unload trailers
- Forklift Operation
- Adhere to all company safety and operational procedures and policies
- Other duties as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of scrap metal (preferred)
- Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
- Must be highly self-motivated
- Have a clear understanding to safety regulations without exception
- Must be a team player
- Physical ability to work for 8+ hours standing
- Physical ability to lift heavy weight
- Forklift operator certified a plus
