FORT WAYNE, IN
TYPE JOB: Full-time
RATE OF PAY: $15 - $17 Hourly (DOE), Shift Premiums
SHIFT: All Shifts
The General Laborer will perform various duties at a non-ferrous metal recycling scrap yard that will include shredding high-voltage wire and separating the aluminum from the copper.
JOB DUTES: (including but not limited to)
- Sorting
- Picking
- Quality inspection
- Quality control
- Customer Service
- Keep work area clean and safe
- Adhere to all company safety and operational procedures and policies
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of non-ferrous metal recycling preferred
- Customer Service skills
- Communication skills both verbal and written
- Organizational skills
- Time management skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Attention to Detail
- Flexible and willing to work weekends if needed
- Physical ability to lift to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Physical ability to work 8+ hours/day standing
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
