Job Description
Responsibilities
- Work with drawings, specifications, supplier quotations, engineering standards, and other information to provide material take-offs and cost estimates.　
- Work in Blue Beam, RS Means and Blue Book programs
- Create and compile detailed cost estimates
- Obtain, organize, and analyze multiple subcontractor quotes across varying trades by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors and negotiating price nationally.
- Support Company Financial goals and objectives for profit and Margin.
- Ability to Scope and support Large scale projects down to small program management retail programs.
- Consult with project managers, vendors, and other departmental personnel to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Meet with clients and communicate in a professional and knowledgeable manner
Skills
- Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills
- Develop subcontractor data base expansion.
- Solid understanding of the RFP Bid process
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and BlueBeam
- Driven, dependable, self-managed individual with focused attention to detail
- Existing vendor & subcontractor relationships a plus
Education, experience, certifications
- Minimum of 2+ years recent experience in commercial construction estimating
- Retail/Restaurant experience a must
- Degree in construction related field a plus
