POSTION OVERVIEW:
We are looking for Entry Level Welders for a full-time job opportunity in Knightstown, IN. You will be responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.
JOB DUTIES:
- Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project.
- Sourcing materials to be used in the project.
- Measuring and cutting the materials to specifications.
- Ensure you are using the correct materials to weld the metals together.
- Checking finished work to make sure that it all falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Technical degree or certification in welding.
- 1 – 2 years of experience in MIG/TIG welding (stainless, steel, aluminum).
- Fabricating skills a plus.
- Ability to interpret blueprints.
- Knowledgeable in machine operations (robotic welding, CNC Press Brake, Bender) a plus.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Knowledgeable in measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, protractors.
- Physical strength and mobility are necessary to perform essential functions of this position.
